The balance is being reported the same every day (doesn't change)
If this is happening, there may be an issue with the connection between your checking account and our data provider. Please Pause saving (so Digit isn't saving off of an incorrect balance), and reach out to us so we can investigate and let our data provider know!
When will I see an updated balance again?
Unfortunately, we can't give a specific time frame on when the balance may update again. You should see your checking balance update and be reported correctly once our data provider fixes the issue with the connection.
The balance is slow to update (but does update eventually)
The only fix is time. Our data provider reads your checking info and sends it to us at different times, and doesn't update in realtime like your banking app does. Depending on your bank, this could be twice a day, or even every two to three days.
Digit cannot manually go in and update your checking balance to be up-to-date, unfortunately. However, there are several features you can set up to ensure that Digit is still saving for you comfortably even if the checking balance we're receiving is not fresh:
To see when our data provider is grabbing that info from your checking account and sending it to us, you can click on the card that displays your checking account info in the Digit app:
The balance is correct but is the balance for a different bank account (i.e. your savings or business account - not the one you would like connected to save from)
Reach out to us, and let us know:
- The last four numbers of the checking account that is supposed to be reported
- Any special names/nicknames that your checking account may have (Bill's checking, Everyday checking, etc.)
