What is the phone bill goal?
In addition to saving for a Rainy Day, your personal goals, and credit card or student loan debt, Digit can save towards and directly pay your monthly phone bill.
After creating a goal for your phone bill, Digit will connect with your mobile carrier and start saving, with the intention of reaching your bill's total amount every month.
- If the entire amount has been saved, it will be sent directly to your service provider to pay your bill.
- If Digit didn't find safe opportunities to save the whole amount, anything saved in your goal will be automatically sent to your biller, and Digit will send a text reminder that the remainder of your bill is due.
- The phone bill goal does not support pre-paid phone plans
Setting up
The first step in setting up your phone bill goal is verifying your identity with our banking partner who will be handling payments by entering in some background info, such as your birthdate, social security number and address.
If you're already using either the student loan or credit card debt goals, you won't need to complete this step again, since you're already verified in our banking partner's system.
Next, you'll supply the info we need to get connected with your wireless carrier account for payments. Head here if you're not sure how to locate your account number.
Once you confirm (click "I Understand"), your goal is now fully set up! Digit will start to look for opportunities to save for your bill and will send payments directly to your biller ahead of the due date.
If your due date is less than 15 days from the date your goal is created, Digit will start to save for the next month's bill after your upcoming due date passes.
